Xiaomi Capricorn with Snapdragon 820 SoC, 3GB RAM spotted online

Xiaomi will soon launch a new high-end smartphone, and it will reportedly be called the Mi Note 2. Reports claim that it could be launching sometime around the last week of july or early August. A Xiaomi smartphone with codename ‘Capricon’ has been spotted on Geekbench, and by the looks of its specifications and features, it could be the Mi Note 2.




As per the listing, the Xiaomi Capricon is powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset (MSM8996) clocked at 2GHZ and paired with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone also runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The smartphone scored 2,342 points in the single-core test on Geekbench, while the multi-core test hit 5,621 points.


Specifications & FeaturesBased on the rumors, we might get more than one variant of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 — 32GB variant with 4GB RAM, and 64GB variant with 6GB RAM. There are also rumors about another variant with 128GB storage and 6GB of RAM.The Mi Note 2 is said to feature a 5.7-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor, 16-megapixel rear camera, 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support, and connectivity options like ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, NFC and 4G support.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 128GB storage and 6GB of RAM variant is said to feature a curved display ike the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and will also boast pressure sensitive technology. The release date is not confirmed as yet but rumors say that the smartphone will release on July 25.
